Writing Circle #2

If I could fly I wouldn't ever walk again, I would see different parts of the world. I would even stop in China, be able to see places that you could only dream of seeing. I would go to Boston and buy lots of Boston stuff. I would fly all over the world to see places I wouldn't be able to see if I couldn't fly, I would fly to every Justin Bieber concert and watch him sing and perform.

Writing Circle #1

If I could be invisible for a day I would spy on Justin Bieber for that whole day, I would go everywhere he goes I would get to see the cool live style he gets to live,what kinda person he's like and I would get to know him a little bit better that's something id love, it would be the coolest thing. I would hope he would be having a concert the day I'm invisible so I could see and hear him sing:) I would sleep next to him all night with out him even knowing, maybe I would tie him up and keep him for a while, I would watch over him and smile at him, this would be something id defiantly do if I could be invisible for a day.

If I won the 50/50

If I won the 50/50 I'd be so happy, I would defiantly take the driving course and get my license that's been something I wanted to do for a long time, than I'd buy a bran new car. I would also go shopping and buy lots of new clothes, if their was any money left over I'd probably just put it in the bank and save it.

The mother in this poem ''sitting on a sixties couch'' would lead one to believe the mother in this poem is an older lady. '' Full bellied, feet flat on the ground, knees and ankles together'' could mean the mother may have been pregnant at the time that's why she's sitting that way, or maybe she's just a bigger lady. ''A happy smile'' this could mean the mother maybe puts a happy smile on her face, even when she's not so happy this would make one think that she is a very strong lady. '' Knitting her nerves away for me'' this could make one believe she has bad nerves, she could be a type of lady that worries a lot, or maybe she could be worrying about her un born son she may be caring. Maybe she's knitting to keep her mind off things, she could be knitting some for her un born son,

I was pretty tired getting up for school today I was up late playing theWI my boyfriend bought for me last night it was so much fun I was playing Mario and also just dance I had a good laugh trying to play that one, it is hard the first time you play, actually my bones are aching today. It was beautiful outside today so I enjoyed the walk to school, it's starting to cool off out there now though, we had a math quiz today I did good on that so I'm glad, I can't wait to go home after school today and play the WI and try the games I didn't get to try yet. I'm dying to see my mom play just dance it would be a ball of fun so hopefully I can get her to play today, I could use a good laugh.

Just relaxed over the weekend and got lots of sleep I loved it, last night was so funny I had my mom playing Mario cart on the WWII she was trying to drive a car  keyword ''trying'' she did so bad but I got a good laugh out of it I laughed so hard I was crying. Today was a good day so far we had the computer teacher in today we learned some new things on the ipad it was cool, after lunch we have a science test, I think I'll do good on it. After school I'll probably just clean my bedroom and relax, only 7 days of left till Christmas break ya ya can't wait for Santa to get here with all the presents. :) I can't believe there's 3 months of school already done can't wait to get school all taken care of and be finished so I can get a good job.

A Worn Path

The story the Worn Path is about a very old African-American women named Phoenix Jackson her appearance she wore a long dress, her shoes laces were always untied, her eyes were blue and she wore a red rag over her head. Her appearance isn't the only thing that's worn, her life path is also. Phoenix regularly walks a long distance to obtain medicine for her sick grandchild, regardless of the cold weather and a slippery frozen path, she makes the trip. In a conclusion her journey the worn path she follows demonstrates her immense love for the child the winter season means Phoenix must overcome the additional hardship for cold weather, as well icy paths, which will have many obstacles among them. The main character in the story Phoenix, Phoenix is a mythological bird that is said to ''live a very long life, die in flames, and rise again''. Just as the Phoenix bird has a cycle of life, death and rebirth, Phoenix takes a dangerous journey through the woods she falls, gets back up and keeps on toward the goal of getting medicine to her grandson. Even though she has many obstacles in her way, she does not flinch in the face of potentially dangerous situations, barbwire, the dress, withered Cotton field, scare cow, tress silver in their dead leaves all of these events are the authors way of trying to represent inequality and racism. In her symbolism, Welty demonstrates exactly why racial equality is so important, the obstacles that African Americans face on their path to racial equality, the point of the human nature that the scare crow represents is death. The job of the scare cow is to scare away black crows, death. Also the story is in December which is around Christmas brings mind love and sacrificial gift- giving, and both of these are strong factors in what motivates Phoenix to make the journey into town to get medicine for her grandson.

Today was a good day didn't do to much work in school I'm happy about that! class gets out soon I can't wait to go home my stomach feels kind of sick:( and I feel a headache coming on, I hope I'm not getting sick. It's pretty cold out there I hate the thought of walking home I'm lucky I don't live far, I can't wait to get home blast the heat up and put a pair of warm and cosy jammies on, relax and maybe try to eat something. After that I'll probably work on some school work, watch TV for a bit if I can find anything good to watch, sense I started back to school I'm always in bed by the latest 10 pm so I'll probably just head to bed after that exciting life I know *not.*

I was so tired waking up for school today I didn't want to move out of my bed I just wanted to lay there and sleep forever. I can't wait for the weekend to get here so I can do some Christmas cleaning and get the Christmas decorations up, there's only like 8 days of school left until Christmas break I'm pretty pumped to sleep in, relax and get my teeth whitened. Also I can't wait for Christmas Day to finally be here I'm so excited to to spend Christmas with all my family and give them their gifts and open up all my gifts:). Christmas is one of my favourite holidays I love all the yummy food around Christmas time and I love eating lots of turkey, I usually get turkey brain. Christmas is one of my favourite holidays because it brings the whole family together and I love spending time with my family, it's kinda hard to believe Christmas is going to be here soon the year went by so fast, I guess when you get older the years really do fly by.

I had a blast this weekend I had so much fun, my boyfriend surprised me with white roses and took me to east side Mario's to eat for my birthday. After we finished eating we went and got all our Christmas shopping done :) feels good to have everything done, don't have to rush around last minute. When we arrived back to his house after we finished shopping his parents surprised me with a birthday cake ! Mmm it was so good:) my 20th birthday was one of my best birthdays I had, so lucky to have such good people in my life.

Woke up today and looked out my window to see there was snow on the ground for the first time this year. It was really cold walking to school today brrrr ! when I got to school I had 3 test to write, did pretty good but I think I could have done better with my math. I was hoping to get a nice hot bowl of soup from Tim's at lunch but they stoped selling the kind of soup I was going to get, just my luck. So i had to settle for a bag of chips and a bar, today is the last day of school till Monday thank god, can't wait to sleep in and relax all weekend.

up coming birthday

My 20th birthday is coming up this weekend and I can't wait to celebrate it with all my close friends. It's hard to believe ill be 20 years old already, really don't know where the time goes. Feels just like yesterday I couldn't wait to be legal to drink and go to bars with  my friends. I'm actually pretty nevous to be turning 20 thats half way to 40 !!!

 

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

    This poem is all about making choices in life, choices are very important it's a life changing decision and impossible to turn back after making a choice. In this poem the author chooses to go down the less travelled road instead of going down the more popular road that is easier, in life this is very common people like to take the easier way out or be a follower instead of being a leader. He made his own path and had no regrets, in life people try to fit in instead of being there own individual, later on in life people will respect you more if you are your own individual.

 

 

 

 

 

 

CBRM studying outdoor smoking ban

Cape Breton Regional councillors have asked staff to put more work into considering whether the municipality should ban smoking at outdoor spaces. This would prohibit smoking outdoors at any public space such as park, ball field, trail, sidewalk and the entrance to any public building. Because of the size of the municipality it would be difficult to enforce a bylaw, there's no sense in enacting a bylaw they can't enforce. I think the municipality should continue to be proactive in efforts to discourage smoking still. But I believe smokers are going to keep smoking outdoors no matter what, I personally think the CBRM has much better things to do than study outdoor smoking ban. They should focus more on all the drug addicts in our town, and try helping them also put more effort in to cleaning our town up, I also think smokers should still be able to smoke outdoors just have respect for other people.

Jersey Shore

Jersey Shore is one of my favorite tv shows ever ! It's a American reality television series the series follows eight housemates spending their summer in one house together for the whole summer. I always look forward to jersday it's so fun to watch there really is never a dull moment in the house with Snooki and Deena that's for sure. It's very entertaining with all the drama and fights going on in the Jersey Shore house from Snooki and Mike constantly fighting or Jwow and Roger and who could forget Sammi and Ronnie? Snooki and Deena also known as the ''meatballs'' are by far my two favorite people in the house they just don't care about anything at all and love going out and having a ball of fun. Mike is the person in the house that I don't really care much for he causes far to much drama from all the lies he tells and just being sneaky. It's hard to believe Jersey Shore is coming to a end:( I will for sure miss jersdays!!!

Justin Bieber

My name is Danielle and I am one of Justin Bieber's bigest fans he is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician and is one of my idols. Justin has such a sweet heart and is a very kind boy who don't let the fame get to his head. One thing i love about Bieber is that he like's helping other people and his amazing personality:). Justin is very talented he has an amazing voice and has lots of great number #1 hits also he has his own movie called never say never!
